Cathy Landis Appointed CEO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbia
Cathy Landis has recently been named chief executive officer of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbia, a 96-bed inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital that provides inpatient and outpatient services to patients who are recovering from conditions such as stroke and other neurological disorders, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, complex orthopedic conditions, and cardiac and pulmonary conditions. She will assume the role on Monday, May 2.
In her position as CEO, she will oversee the hospital’s day-to-day operations as well as patient quality and care. Landis comes to HealthSouth Columbia from Mission Health, where she served as president and chief nursing officer of the Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, N.C. In all, she has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership and proven success in developing and enhancing clinical programs, quality improvement programs and care management programs. She earned her master’s degree in nursing administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of South Carolina.
